We are so excited to be featured in this month’s interiors style blog by Interior Designer Lily Sawyer, whom some of you may have watched recently on BBC2’s The Great Interior Design Challenge. Lily is a published photographer, interior designer and brand content creator, and she poses the thought provoking and all important question, “how do you decide on style”, giving her 3 tips for how to decide on your own interiors style.
Lily began decorating her Victorian house in pale, traditional colours but gradually developed her own interior style, with a much more bohemian and decidedly bold look for her home, which her instagram page (which 60 thousand followers avidly tune into!) is dedicated to.
As you can see from this lovely photograph taken by Lily, our Tamsin Peacock Armchair has been styled very much in a dark ‘maximalist’ styled room, with very much a boho feel and accents of vintage colour, such as the green and bright orange, which compliment our Tamsin Peacock Armchair very nicely.
Our interior styling is most definitely determined by the latest antique or vintage acquisition by The Antique Dealer, and although our small Edwardian house is almost full to the brim (pinball machines times two, vintage 1960s radiogram slash drinks cabinet, vintage vinyl in the thousands…need I go on?!) we simply can’t resist some of the hordes of treasure that walk through our door!
As part of collaboration with Lily, we are giving away a Napoleon Rockefeller armchair, with the lucky winner winning a hefty £900 worth of interiors home decor goodies, including one of our handcrafted chairs!
To enter this fabulous once in a lifetime competition, (after all you have to be in it to win it!) simply head over to Instagram, @layeredhome and @napoleonrockefeller and follow the instructions. Good luck and may the best man or woman win!
